Hello. Might as well start with who is writing this.

I enjoy playing games. I've been doing it most of my life. What finally clicked for me is that the titles I stick with (Magic, D&D, WoW, Path of Exile, the usual suspects) all let me craft a character, deck, or build. I spend almost as much time outside those games planning the next version of myself as I do inside them. HeroCraft started because I wanted to build something around that itch.

This whole journey happens in leftover margin, after faith, family, and work commitments. For 26 years that job has been web and application development. These days I lead a team of web and mobile developers, which means shipping software and sweating the details is already how I spend my days.

I use AI tools when they save time on drafts and scaffolding. I still decide what ships, how secure it is, and whether it's worth putting on the site. If a hobby tool shows up here, I wrote it like I mean it... even if a model helped me get moving.

Current framing of the site lives in HeroCraft today. Side projects are under Tools.
